The Accumulair Platinum 21x21x1 air filter is equipped with a unique synthetic media that delivers high-efficiency filtration without compromising airflow. The Tribo-Electric media is composed of hydrophobic co-polymer micro-fibers, meaning the filter does not absorb moisture and cannot support the growth and spread of harmful contaminants. To enhance durability, the pleated media is laminated to a metal backing that is recyclable, galvanized, and corrosion-resistant.

This filter has been tested and rated to perform at the Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value of 11 (MERV 11) by an independent lab, in accordance with ASHRAE Standard 52.2. The high-performance filter captures up to 94% or more of airborne contaminants, such as dust, lint, dust mite debris, cement dust, lead dust, standing dust, small fibers, pet dander, and other airborne pollutants.
